🗺️ 8 Days M’Hamid Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech / Ouarzazate

Arrival at Marrakech (or Ouarzazate) airport and transfer to Ouarzazate (200 km), crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka pass (2260 m). Dinner at your leisure and overnight stay at the hotel. Note: Overnight stay in Marrakech if arrival is too late.

Day 2: Marrakech / Ouarzazate - Zagora – Mhamid

Departure by minibus to the Tizi n'Tichka pass (2260 m), then on to Ouarzazate to reach the Draa Valley, the largest palm grove in Morocco, stretching lengthwise. Passing through Agdz, Zagora, Tagounit, and Mhamid. (450 km and 8 hours by road from Marrakech, 260 km and 4 hours by road from Ouarzazate). In the afternoon, the first leg of our journey: a 2-hour hike to reach the first dunes and set up camp near the palm grove of the old village of M'Hamid. Overnight in tents.

Day 3: Palm Grove – Sidi Nagi

After the palm grove, cross the Sidi Naji plateau before reaching the dunes of the same name. Set up camp in the dunes.

Day 4: Sidi Nagi - Erg Zaher

Leave the Sidi Naji dunes and enter the vast desert landscape. The dunes fill the landscape, and you finally reach the great dunes of Erg Zaher. Replenish your water supply and meet the Ait Khabbach nomads at the Zaher well.

Day 5: Erg Zaher - Erg Ait Ounir

Heading north, leave Erg Zaher and head towards Ait Ounir. Beautiful and varied days spent among dunes, tamarisk trees, and acacias. Overnight camping in the Ait Ounir dunes. Day 6: Ait Ounir - Ras Nkhal After climbing the dunes of Erg Ounir, you head southeast. This beautiful day of hiking in the dunes gradually ends at Ras Nkhal, located at the entrance to the Mahmid palm grove. Overnight stay among palm trees, tamarisk trees, and sand.

Day 7: Ras Nkhal - Mhamid – Marrakech - Hotel

A short walk and you'll find your car in the remote village of Mhamid. Begin your transfer back to Marrakech. Check in to your hotel. Free time for sightseeing and dinner in the city.

Day 8: Marrakech Return

Transfer from Marrakech airport and end of our services
